Stork Technical Services signed a new 3-year maintenance contract with DuPont de Nemours in Dordrecht on Thursday 27 January 2011. With this renewal of the present CCMS (Contracted Construction, Maintenance and Services) contract, DuPont is expressing its confidence in the present and future partnership between the two companies, and has opted to continue following the same proven route as before.

Under the CCMS Contracted Construction, Maintenance and Services contract, Stork Technical Services West carries out the day-to-day maintenance of the various plants on the DuPont site. At this location in Dordrecht DuPont produces a range of products including Teflon®, Delrin®, Surlyn® en Viton®. As well as the day-to-day maintenance, Stork will also make an important contribution to carrying out the yearly turnarounds (multidisciplinary) projects, and will also provide specialized services such as engineering, inspection and other supporting services.

DuPont is an important employer in the Dordrecht region, and one of the largest chemical companies worldwide, with a strong commitment to safety, quality and continuity. This new partnership provides optimal assurances in relation to these important aspects.

The permanent on-site presence of Stork Technical Services personnel at DuPont, close to the customer’s operations, allows a high level of service to be offered. This means optimal utilisation of the available knowledge and capacity as part of an integrated partnership. Stork’s continuous improvement processes will contribute to cost reduction, increased plant reliability and uptime, and assurance of process integrity.
