Press Release: Stork Technical Services wins renovation and overhaul order from AVR Rozenburg | 123.02KB | Download |
Waste-processing company AVR has awarded a major renovation and overhaul order to Stork Technical Services. Initially the order was for three separate projects at the AVR energy-from-waste plant in Rozenburg, The Netherlands, but thanks to Stork’s integrated approach these have been combined into a single large order to be carried out in the first quarter of 2011.
AVR, part of the Van Gansewinkel Group, is one of the largest waste-processing companies in the Netherlands. The organization has processing plants in Rozenburg and Duiven, where waste is converted into energy. The Rozenburg location has seven incineration lines and a Biomass Power Station. AVR has asked Stork Technical Services to carry out the renovation and overhaul of the boiler and turbine plants at its Biomass Power Station. In addition the boiler of incineration line 5 will be renovated and overhauled by Stork Technical Services.
As well as the competitive price, decisive factors in the selection of Stork Technical Services by AVR were the short completion time and reliable execution. Knowledge, expertise and experience are key factors in the process. AVR places great value on Stork’s integrated approach. Several Stork Business Lines will join forces in an integrated project organization to complete this challenging task within only three weeks.
